4Q Magazine

Submitting Articles

If you would like to submit an article to 4Q Magazine please send an email to contact@4qmagazine.com with the attached article, any uncopyrighted images and a head-shot of yourself to add to the article. We would ask that you follow some guidelines to make uploading the article quick and easy.

For the most part, you’re on your own! Follow your own style and enjoy yourself. Don’t worry about fonts etc, just write a document in whatever format you’re comfortable. There are a few guidelines we’d like you to stick to, to help us carry a presentation standard format across the magazine:

  • He said “This is how we would like you to present quotes.”

  • The music track is called ‘Music Track Title’, and each word of the titles has a capital letter. Only single inverted commas here, to separate song titles from spoken quotes.

  • The name of the movie is Movie Title, and is in italics with no inverted commas and a capital letter on each word.

  • Please double check the spelling of any individual’s name you may wish to include in your article.

  • Avoid the Q+A approach to any article. We at 4Q do not use this format in articles and have a specific ‘4Q+A’ section, which we want to stand alone in this style.

  • Please take the time to read a few of our previously published articles before you write up your own to get familiar with our language. These can be found on our website at www.4qmagazine.co.uk.

  • Try to avoid hyperbole such as “This is best band 4Q have ever heard” or anything similar, which is difficult to substantiate. We would also prefer no individual article to portray any other artist in a negative light which could be considered over the top. Personal opinions and well written, accurate commentary are very welcome, but please remember your article can be taken to represent the opinions of 4Q Magazine as a whole.

Thanks for submitting your work to 4Q. Along with your article, that will feature on the 4Q website and maybe even in the magazine, we would like you to send an image of yourself so we can add it to your feature. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at contact@4qmagazine.com

Thanks again and much love

The 4Q Team.
