LEGENDARY musician, Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, who the other day reportedly suffered a coronary attack which found him skip the London Jazz Event, is currently recovering at his house in Norton.
Talking with Chronicle Showbiz yesterday, his supervisor Walter Wanyanya disputed reviews that Tuku had experienced a heart attack saying it had been his doctor who experienced requested him never to travel.
“Tuku didn’t have a coronary attack by itself. Remember he’s diabetic therefore when he was going to travel, he visited his doctor who stated it could not be best for him to travel as he had a need to observe him,” described Wanyanya.
“We realized that heading against the doctor’s demand will be tricky hence the cancellation of the London and Uganda outings.”
Consequently, Tuku, who has been visiting a lot lately, was in the medical center for quite a while but has since been discharged and deemed match to travel.
“Tuku is now in the home and is recovering well. He provides been cleared to visit and will actually maintain Durban in a few days,” said Wanyanya.
Tuku has been scheduled to be a part of a segment of the London event titled, “The Boy’s Doin’ It”.
The gig featured famous brands Sibongile Khumalo, Selema Masekela, and Masekela’s old touring band.
Wanyanya said these were now focusing on Tuku’s itinerary for the yuletide season that may see him perform locally and beyond your country.
“The yuletide season is a period for Tuku to be merry along with his fans so we’re along the way of finalizing his events. Once finalized, we’ll talk about the dates and venues with followers.”
