MISSED YOU AT THE SHOW (Preview)

– DEBUT SINGLE ‘HUMAN’ RELEASED 28 NOVEMBER 2011
Missed You At The Show are a five-piece acoustic indie-rock band from Manchester taking their musical inspiration from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Paramore and The Killers. Their unique sound blends infectious guitar melodies against a richly-toned lead vocal and some sublime harmonies – featuring band members from the UK, Canada, Spain & Thailand it’s no surprise that the overall eclectic mix of sounds works so well.
The band began to form in 2009 when singer Mike Poplawski and keyboard player Sergio Llopis Pascual met in a pub whilst studying music at the University of Salford. They recruited bass player Suthee Phoncheewin and after what seemed like an endless search for a drummer, Cheshire-born Aaron Colton eventually joined with 5th member Shaun Holland becoming the final piece of the jigsaw in summer 2010.
The last year has seen the band record their eponymous EP in Mallorca whilst playing a handful of gigs in Palma, Mallorca and the North West of England to their growing fan base, with notable highlights including supporting Kristyna Myles and winning Manchester Printworks Band of the Year.
Summer 2011 saw the band return to Mallorca to work with renowned Spanish producer Antoni Noguera on recording 10 new tracks for their debut album. Their first single, the catchy and vibrant ‘Human’, is released on 28 November 2011 as a follow up to the band’s debut EP which gained airplay on a number of regional radio stations.
Missed You At The Show are Mike Poplawski (lead vocals, acoustic guitar) Sergio Llopis Pascual (backing vocals, keyboard), Suthee Phoncheewin (bass), Aaron Colton (drums) and Shaun Holland (electric guitar).
Debut single ‘Human’ is released on 28 November 2011 for digital download
